Default Google's Chrome OS-based Netbook Specs Leaked

IBTimes reports that specs of the rumored Google Chrome OS-based netbook were "leaked," revealing a device powered by Nvidia's Tegra and an ARM CPU. Naturally, nothing has been confirmed or denied. However, reports indicated that Google has approached several hardware manufacturers and released RFPs (request for proposal) based on these specs.

In addition to the ARM and Nvidia hardware, the Chrome netbook will also provide a few other surprising features including a 64 GB SSD, 2 GB RAM, and a 10.1-inch TFT HD-ready multi-touch display. Wifi and 3G are also slated for the device, along with Bluetooth, a webcam, Ethernet and USB ports, and more. The netbook will even come pre-installed with a few Google-specific apps such as Gmail, Google Maps, Google Search by Voice, and more.

Google's Chrome netbook is slated for a Q4 2010 release with a sub-$300 pricetag. While the price seems highly unlikely, it's speculated that Google may provide the netbooks to 3G providers as part of a service bundle (which seems more likely to offer the cheap price). Google is expected to sell the netbook straight to consumers as well, however it may be that the pricetag will be a bit steeper.
