They still have to recover for their losses which they faced because they had priced PS3 lower than it's manufacturing cost.

Small step for gamers, huge leap for Sony.
Now I hope sony can at last start making PS3s without loss.

It would be hard to hope for a price cut though because of the extreme amount of losses Sony endured which need to be recovered.

the manufacturing cost of 80GB PS3 during it's initial release is nearly $850. But they sold the beast for $599 dollars. Later they changed the emotion engine and adopted the cell processor which has lowered the manufacturing cost.

Good time for you sony. Make the most of this moment.

Yeah.. please make the price around 20k.. i really want to work on Cell Processor.. will install Linux on it.. but that damn hypervisor doesn't allows Linux to access RSX..

BTW.. what's the current price of cheapest PS3 in India?
