Cool Windows 7 RTM - build 7600

Wzor is reporting that Windows 7 will RTM at build 7600.

Released to manufacturing follows weeks of rumour and speculation on when Microsoft would unveil that it has finished Windows 7. 7.7600.16384.090710-1945 is the potential final build number and we're still expecting the company to announce the finalisation of Windows 7 at the annual Worldwide Partner Conference on Monday providing there are no last minute recompiles.

Windows 7 has been in development since mid to late 2008 and build 7600 will mark the end of the beta phase and on to servicing and then general availability on October 22.

There actually some releases floating around with which claim to be RTM.
RTM has definitely been compiled since Long Zheng also confirmed it yesterday and gave a precise build no.

Yea, but I'm waiting for the official release. Or rather, my Triband connection is forcing me to wait.

you admins are saying that RTM has released..

If it's not released officially, how can it be in the INTERNET unofficially?

May be some one would have rushed into the MS office and would have stolen the copy of Win 7. LOL.. So much like X-men..

MS confirmed that Windows 7 has not yet been ready for being RTM'ed.
Build 7600 is NOT the RTM.

I downloaded the 7600 build via a torrent from Mininova and there was no key given there so the question for me now is how to activate it?

Yup, I tried using my previous RC's key and also tried to activate it via a new key, fresh off the M$'s site but still it says its not valid.
Just got couple of "Activators" from Mininova, will try them and see if they do the trick as currently my bandwidth is devoted to updating Ubuntu.

ah okay. you may need to wait for cracks to make that build legitimate.

http://windows7news.com/2008/12/18/e...-trial-period/

use rearm method you can extend the use for 120 days and not more

by that time you will be getting a valid crack

Build 7600 is not RTM.

RTM is not free.

Use the RC. It's free until March next year.

^ It's a development release, but a significant one since the earlier leaked builds were in the 72XX series. The 7100 is the official RC from Microsoft but is stable enough for everyday use. I see no point in getting the newer leaked versions unless a person has a fetish for having the latest build on his PC.

RTM should be out late in July or early August.

old news...
build 7600 is defintely rtm its only which subset is earlier everyone even wzor said that 7600.16384 is the final rtm but later microsoft confirmed its not yet rtmed
read it here
http://windowsteamblog.com/blogs/win...ows-7-rtm.aspx

now after that there was 7600.16385 leaked which is said to be the final rtm but still nothing from micosoft so just wait and watch guys for microsoft to confirm that they have rtmed the final build till then all are speculations. so donot just rush and change your os.the announcement will surely happen before 24th of this month(most probly tuesday) so till then just hang on...
