Default Windows 7 Beta will reboot every two hours from today (1 July, 2009)

As already warned by Microsoft, windows 7 beta will stat rebooting every two hours from today i.e 1 July, 2009.

Windows 7 Beta will continue to work till 1 August,2009 and it will stop working completely after that.

Beta users can switch to RC version, or can go back to earlier version of windows like Vista, XP.

Why does Microsoft want to torture testers like this?

IMO, a simple "Your version has expired" at boot-up should do fine, I dont know what they'll get by this 2 hour lockdown

^^
Agreed.
But why cant MS make a simple timer, counting down to the day it expires? I'm sure that should be enough for the user.

By 2010 some wise person will develop the crack for this RC Version also.

And one simple trick is to change the time of ur PC. Will this work ?
