Free Hosting + Free Domain at Dreamhost for GeoCities Users

Dreamhost has come up with their latest offer, where they are offering free hosting + free domain name to all Yahoo GeoCities users. As we all know GeoCities is one of the first web hosts on the Internet that offers free web hosting to all its users. But Yahoo has decided to shut it down later this year.

Dreamhost is offering TWO YEARS of a completely free DreamHost account (including domain registration) to the first 1000 GeoCities users. You have to verify that you are a GeoCities user by creating a page on your GeoCities account (or editing an existing page) to have the phrase “I’m off to DreamHost!” on it!

Then when you signup for new Dreamhost account, simply put the full url to that page as your “promotional code” and you’ll get a 2 year plan (normally $214.80) free! [source]

I think Yahoo has already announced that it will be closing down their GeoCities service in 1-2 months.
