Firefox 3.0.6 Released

Firefox 3.0.6 fixes several issues found in Firefox 3.0.5:
* Fixed several security issues.
* Fixed several stability issues.
* In previous versions of Firefox, some users experienced a problem where parts of the screen were not properly displaying after Firefox was open for long periods of time.
* Improved the ability for scripted commands (including those included in popular extensions like Adblock Plus) to work properly with plugins. (bug 438830)
* Removed the client user ID from crash reports.
* Fixed issues with the display of some Indic scripts.

Hope they fixed the fcuking continuous crashing while opening new tabs in this release. As i am almost on the verge of switching to opera.

I had problems with 3.0.5, thanks to them that its fixed now.....mine was never remebering the previously open tabs when i close firefox directly

FF is still a resource hog IMO. Until they fix that, I'll stick with Opera and Chrome.

For some people using Vista, the problem was resolved by setting compatibility to "Windows XP (Service Pack 2)"

Are your sure ? It's very odd to consume 600MB-1GB of Ram.
How many tabs you keep open while surfing & are those sites multemedia content rich like a lot of video clips ith embeded player, lots of flash animation & images etc.
BTW, installed FF & it's working like a charm
though I've to reinstall some old addons which were not designed for ff 3xx releases.
