While the release of the X4 950 is not official, it is listed on a document that is said to have been leaked from AMD itself. It would be launched at or near the same time as the 3GHz Phenom II X4 945, which is expected to be a Socket AM3 version of the current Phenom II X4 940. The leaked slide also reveals the company's slower Socket AM3 processors, topping out at 2.8GHz, will switch from 125W to 95W thermal envelopes. These will be compatible with Socket AM2+ motherboards as well as older DDR2 memory. Source |

The 940 itself is 275$ so i guess the 950 will be around that price range.
