Default Dell Really Might have a Macbook Air Rival

Till yesterday, there were just rumors. But now the news on this ultraportable laptop arrival is getting serious.

The news about Dell’s mystery Adamo laptop came into limelight this week. It was all related to a lifestyle website with Adamo advertised on it (as confirmed by Dell spokesperson) saying 'soon to come'. The tagline supporting the arrival of a new product reads "rival the Macbook Air."

Heres my 2 cents for your mammoth sized brain, nobody needs to beat apple, nobody wants to beat apple. Macbook Air, is an uber-expensive laptop that nobody wants to buy, all in all, it can be said that its an "Epic Fail". The day it was released, apple fans had nothing to write back home and were really disappointed with the Mac Book Air, apart from being uber-slim, the laptop has nothing else to deliver. Its just a stupid style statement.

"ZOMFG HOW DID STEVE JOBS FIT AN APPLE INSIDE SOMETHING SO THIN!! ZOMFG ROLF LOL LOL!..." Dude seriously, shut the f*** up.

Apple/Linux market share has no effect on Microsoft, it dominates the market and will continue to do so, no matter how much you steve jobs loving fan boys propose Apple to be the next big thing, Microsoft will continue to dominate the market.

Your attitude seems to be a typical "I'm so awesome, cause I use a Mac" type. Take a break, computers is more than wearing a shiney leather jacket to the party.

And btw, Mammoths had pathetically small brains.

PS:
No offense to other fellow apple lovers, but his reply called for something like this. I have nothing against healthy comparison. Apple stands tall in its own field and so does Microsoft. Both have their own pros and cons.

Please refrain from gauging fellow members size. Besides its outright impertinence, wonder how many anatomy sizes we may need to take into account.

Oh really? Then what made MS's share fall from 97% to 90%? 7% of MS is market is no way small in size.

Where did Microsoft come into the picture in this thread? Isn't the thread about Apple and Dell? And yeah why the hell pull Linux into this? You have started a flame war don't blame so called anti-MS people later.

I have a MacBook Air, and frankly speaking, one can only be happy with the amount of thought and consideration that Apple has put into user experience building, majorly, portability.

Other than that, it's those age old problems with the Mac. Lack of software, lack of games et al. I'll be completely unbiased to say that it's NOT for heavy business use, or gaming, or development etc.

And Gagandeep is spot on with his point, for the same money, you can get a killer windows laptop with a desktop-class configuration capable of doing a lot more on the go.

I'm not a Mac hater or a Windows fanboy, but truth be told, it's a costly gadget (just like most macs are) for you to buy and show off with, period. When it comes down to real business, whether it's running Visual Studio .NET/Oracle, JDeveloper, MySQL.PHP, or making your next polymodel scene in Maya/Max, or fragging heads off in Quake and Unreal Tournament, you'll have to walk Mr. Gates' way, it's the smoothest.
