They don't check each and every file. Maybe they only check if a file is very very large. Apart from this I think this service is great

They delete only If it has copyright.

No one will delete OLD DOGGY PICS or VIDEOS of your Home.

and if they find one such file violating the terms they delete the account and along with that you lose your other files as well.

I am not going to upload any files that have copyright or which is illegal. So no worry for me.

Rest it depends on other users what they upload and what happens to their account.
