Starting Windows with two processor cores
1.Click the
Start button.
2.Click
All Programs.
3.Click
Accessories.
4.Click
Run.
5.Type the following command in the command line:
msconfig.
6.Click
OK.
7.In the
System Configuration window, click the
Boot tab.
8.Click the
Advanced Options button.
9.Check the
Number of processors box.
10.Click on the
1 below to open a choice box, and click then on
2. If the choice box does not open, you don’t possess a multi-core processor and won’t be able to use this tip.
11.Click
OK.
12.Windows jumps back to the system configuration window. Click
OK.
13.You will be asked to reboot the PC. Save all open files, close all open applications, and then click
Restart. The modifications will be immediately effective.
