Absolutely. It has been tested on Windows 7 beta. DiskMax will identify Windows 7 as Windows Vista because Win7 will start identifying itself as Win7 only when it hits RTM.
You will need to start DiskMax with administrative privileges if you need to perform all activities like clearing event logs, scanning other user accounts, defragmentation, etc.
I am not keen to make DiskMax refuse to run without administrative privileges so the duty of elevating it is left to the user. (Right-click and select 'Run as administrator' for those who don't know - all this will be in the documentation I am compiling)

Re: DiskMax 3.1
Installed it and gave it a whirl.
Here are a couple of screenshots :
# Detects Win7 as Win Vista.

# Recovered about 15gb.
Suggetion : #Add support for other popular browsers like Opera, Safari and Chrome.
# I would have the minimize and quit buttons at top right, in order to be consistent with windows ui.

Re: DiskMax 3.1
@Indyan
15GB? That's amazing. Your Windows installation must be pretty old to have accumulated that much junk... Or you are just a really heavy user..
I agree with your comments regarding the minimize and quit buttons but there is a programmatic reason why it had to be done this way... I intend to try to return to the Windows ui norm but I am pushing that to a release further down the line...
Thanks for your comments and screenshots!

Re: DiskMax 3.1
I installed the beta build in 2nd or 3rd week of Januaury. And I had used Tuneup Disk Cleaner a couple of weeks back. So it's certainly impressive.

Re: DiskMax 3.1
@Indyan
How old is that win7? On a freshly installed win7 build 7022, DM shaves off 570 MB or so.

Re: DiskMax 3.1
DiskMax 3
"Registration" is actually a request placed for a web counter (like the one on webpages) which will increment on each request so that I know how many installs have taken place. It will try to connect for about 3 times and then time out if unsuccessful. DiskMax will then start running as usual. However, unless registered, the user will have to go through this whole cycle every time DiskMax is started. (The same repeats for an update check)
I request that, if possible, the user "registers" DiskMax so that looking at the popularity of my various applications, I can decide which one I can allocate more of my time to for improvement.
DiskMax 4
This version is much more relaxed about the whole thing. There is an update check about 3 days after install so that users can evaluate the program before allowing it to connect to the internet to check for updates. If the user decides not to check for updates, there is a penalty waiting period of 15 seconds before DiskMax 4 starts up and works as usual. Please note that, as stated in the EULA, no information of any sort is ever transmitted onto the internet at any time.
I have included an professional help file in the latest copy of DiskMax 4 available. Those of you who are using it, please tell me if the help file explains everything about DiskMax clearly.
