10k rpm HDDs show a lot of difference wrt price. Never bothered about purchasing them for this reason. Be prepared for high costs as well. It is doubly fast and would be almost triple the price of 7200rpm

I heard Seagate (or was it someone else ?) has a 10000rpm 1TB HDD here in Bangalore which retails at 9K
