sys crashes while watching videos

my system crashes while watching videos..plz help me out..
i've tried updating the display drivers..this doesn't work..
any other solns..plz..

Which OS do you use? And is it when you're streaming videos in your browser, or is it when you watch any video?

its not while watching online videos..its when i watch the videos saved in the harddisk...Os:vista home premium..the videos are mostly of avi extns..

Uninstall and reinstall K-Lite Codec Pack. If you havent got it, get it.

Try disabling Fddshow and Direct VOB to Sub Audio and Video plugins.
