Microphone not working plz help..

I bought my com a year ago..From tat time am having tat prob...I asked my technician about it but he is telling tat might be because of software issues and he is telling me to reinstall xp...I have already installed xp many a times..But stil am facing the same issue..
I have 2 ports front and the back...Both not working from the day i bought..I have already posted in digit before but dint get a proper solution...Am posting again if someone could help me please...
My mobo is G965 intel

If sound is alright in speakers in back panel then dat might because of bad wiring
bad wiring
-->Ur wiring is faulty
-->Ur wiring is donr in wrong plugs
U have to manually sort it out cause it need pics in case u really want to solve it

okay then tel me wat to al to take photos i wil just post it here...I have changed the microphones many a times too..My sound is proper only the mic port not working...Wil it be because of any settings...If you really think of the faulty wire connections tel me which to take pics inside the mobo??
