Question wd2003: Word Cannot Complete The Save Due To A File Permission Error


for the past 3-4 weeks i v been facing this problem with word documents.
this issue occurs off n on n occurs on any drive of my PC with both old n new word docs and @ the end of it i lose the document.


all the files i m accessing are in the same PC and not on any network/USB drives.
i v tried ever possible step in MS KB but its of no use.

i feel its Kaspersky which is causing the problem. anyone faced a similar issue

the same error cropped up yday on my bro's acer lappy and he lost an important file!!!

i v referred THIS forum but still no use.
this is diving me nuts now.

me too having the same problem......... getting file permission errors while im editing & saving the .doc files in my hard disk......
pls anyone post a solution for it......

@iinfi,
Are you using Acer machine? You might want to check this thread; there seems to be some conflict between AV and an Acer driver.

sorry for not replying ... i saw this thread jus now while searching for something else...
the problem got solved on its own!!
@swatkat ... mine is not an Acer machine but my bro's laptop is !! i dont use live one care .... if it resurfaces which probably it wud i will see wat to do ... thanks anyway.

A friend of mine, using an assembled desktop got the same problem, and it has started after installation of KAV. I too have KAV but havent had such a problem as yet. This problem occurs when save a document, edit it without closing and try saving it again..
