PC doesnt start.

Whenever i turn on the pc , i get the error mesaage " Error loading operating system" . Even the xp sp2 cd doesnt start. Pls Help me in recovering my system.

Is your BIOS configured to allow booting from a cd? See the settings.

Yes it is configured. Actually the xp setup starts but it stops after sometime with a blank screen. And when installing linux, there is some Grub installation error at the end.

OS crashed......

use some recovery tool 2 backup data..& then reinstall OS

I have already recovered data using SLAX. But no OS is getting installed on the disk, is the problem !

What happens if you choose to repair XP?

The repair option doesnt come..Just a blank screen after xp setup starts checking for drivers, the very first step.

Press F8 and select Botting device as CD Drive and repair ur Windows XP through Windows XP CD

Press F8 and select Last Known GOOD Config Settings
