WinXP Active Desktop Failure - Nagging issue

This is the 2nd time it's happening to me... My WinXP Active Desktop has thrown a Failure error (screenshot attached)...
Clicking on the "Restore my Active Desktop" button results in a script error.. None of the other options work too.
Last time I had to delete my winxp user profile and have a new profile created -- wherein the active desktop got setup properly.
Now again the same error has come up... Not sure what is causing this error and how this can be fixed...

Any help provided on this regard will be greatly appreciated.

start -->> run -->> type gpedit.msc
Navigate to :
User configuration-->>Administrative templates-->>Desktop-->>Active desktop -->> Enable active desktop -->> Enable -->> Apply -->> OK

Restart windows, show fix the problem. Else your system is infected. Do complete system scan. ..or you need to delete the profile and shift to another profile.
