Default Looking for MPEG - DVD Editor

I am looking for a software that can allow me to do editing of MPEG-II / DVD files.
I am interested to edit recordings (.mpg) done from TV Tuner card. I.e. remove ads etc and trim the start/finish frames.

My Video recording options in TV Card is set for DVD 720x576 @ Bitrate 4000Kb
Any suggestions would be great.
Thanks.

wow whats the tv card well ulead video studio is the easiest i'd say,or nero vision(way faster when it comes to rendering than ulead) but its kinda buggy when it comes to editing....Or adobe premier would be killer but the learning curve isn't really worth it for jst removing adds lol hope this helps

Nero Vision was good..
It took me a while to understand how to cut and export the video..but overall good one.
