Default office problem


i am using Xp 2 when i am installing office my system is restarting my ram is 1gb and hd is 160gb intel dual core i am using hardare any tell wat the problem i am using office 2007 pro

Ur PC shud restart aftr installing Office to complete installation..........its common........

plz desribe ur problem in brief..........

Just a though..
In windows registry there's a setting as 'Automatically restart windows when explorer crashes'.
It's better to keep it disabled.
I guess one can use third party utilities for tweaking XP settings that should have some option to keep this setting disabled.

^^i will not prefer to desable it.
it is better for the system helth to restart when any crash occured.
Regarding the problem i think you have missed out some necessary os files.
sp2 is very necessary and also .net framwork.
Also check the same installer on other system. it may be faulty.

I would not automatically restart when explorer crashes, since the bsod which pops up can tell us what exactly the problem is. If it restarts immediately, we cant see where the error is.
