Angry A Stubborn Virus

Hi, Friends Please Help!!!!

I transferred a file from my organization’s computer to my PC.
Now my computer is infected with win32.PE_Sality.EK virus.
I scanned my computer using Quick Heal, Trojan Remover, Nortan Antivirus but of no avail.
I formatted my HDDisk but didn’t get rid of this trouble.
Now I’ve installed fresh OS Winxp, but have problem. When I installed software like Quick Time, K-Lite Codec, Registry cleaner, they get installed at first but as I restart the computer and sad to find the .exe file missing for these software. When click any icon for this program on my desk, I can see the computer searching .exe file as file searching dialog box appears with brows button in display. Please Help.
I’ve scanned all the partitions in my drive.

Please Help!!!!

But did u format only the C drive (or the drive in wich the os was loaded) or the entire Hdd ?

Coz, as u said the virus problem still persists after the format, so im guessing that u didint format the entire hdd and hence the virus must hv migrated to another partition..

btw, use a better AV like NOD32 or Kaspersky or even AVG (any one of the 3 will do) to remove the virus, i knw its a tedious job to keep on recommending AVs, but they are the best in the business, so b4 u do a complete format, plz use these...

Also, use a registry cleaner like XP Tools Pro, to remove unwanted reg entries....

Cheers n e-peace...
