i formatted my os.plzz help

i had vista home premium already installed on my pc.then due to viruses ihad starting problems and had to format my system.someone gave me vista ultimate dvd and asked to try it.i formatted my whole hard disk including recovery drive after taking the back-up in recovery disc.but now when i want my system back to factory condition it ask for recovery drive.
now is it possible for me to bring my pc back to factory condition or i have lost my os forever.im really very depressed plzzzzzzzzzz help

Did u format only the drive in which vista is instaled or the whole hard disk /??

^^if you have vista recuse DVD, then you can recover.

Try to Boot from Vista Rescue DVD, It should help you recover.

But which option did you select in the format section of installation of Vista?

yes i have formatted my whole hard disk using full system format.i'm having the recovery disc but it ask for recovery drive to recover the system to the original condition, which i have formatted

now all ur left is wit recovery dvd option....n u may also try ur service centre....they tk on at it....but will charge u if not under warranty...all da best

yup, call the customer care & tell them the problem, dont tell them that "someone gave you a Vista DVD", just say that your system got infected & you formatted the whole HDD thinking the Recovery Disk was enuf to re-install...
