Where is my installer????

My friends PC is having a wierd problem...........
None of the installations complete. They start but then the program doesn't complete and it gives not responding and the end now doesn't work
He has tried to restore the pc but it was also not completed.

Any help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
