Default Ctrl+Alt+Del Disabled on Laptop

I use an IBM Thinkpad R60 (Dual Core, 1 GB RAM) with Windows XP SP2 installed.

I face the following problems:
1. Option for "Hidden Folders" does not appear under "Tools". This used to be visible earlier.
2. Ctrl+Alt+Del when used "Task Manager has been disabled by your administrator" appears. I am the sole user of the machine. This option also was working earlier.
3. While using the wireless connection for internet, when the router is switched off and then switched on, the connection is not detected by windows. It gives a message saying windows is unable to open.... use the software used for the connection etc. Intel ProG Wireless... was available in the tray earlier to re-activate the connection. That no longer appears. I have to restart windows to restart the wireless connection.

I use CA Internet Security Suite as well as Spybot Search&Destroy.

Can some please give me detailed directions to rectify the above problems?

I had experienced the first two problems before. It was caused by a virus. It disables the Hidden folder so that you do not find the virus folder and delete it and disables the Task Manager so that you do not terminate the virus process. I had Googled for the solution and sure enough I found it. Maybe you wanna try that.

Try This: (Answer to Question1)

http://thinkdigit.com/forum/showthread.php?t=61413

Also do a thorough Scan using your Anti-Virus (preferably a good one like Kaspersky, Bitdefender, ESET NOD32, etc.)

You can find them here:
http://thinkdigit.com/forum/showthread.php?t=94072

Otherwise, do an online scan of your PC/laptop.
If possible, post a HijackThis Log here.

And is your laptop functioning slower than usual? (you know your laptop better than us)
