how to format the c drive completely??

guys, i just want to know how to format my c drive completely without using the winxp cd, when i had the fat32 file system b4 i use to boot frm win98 cd and format. This type of format completely removes all the files etc frm HDD.

but now as i have NTFS file sys now i cant boot frm win98 cd, i just wann know is thr any other way(utility/prog) wth which i can format my c drive only??

i have 4 more partitions which i dont wann format,so dont tell me to use FDISK or disk management and yes formatting wth winxp cd is the last option id consider rt now.

You can format your C drive with any new Linux OS or Win XP or even Win 2000

Also if you have another system available, then connect your HDD to it and format it easily from disk management.
But best is to boot from xp cd and format it.

Create a MS-DOS startup disk ...boot from it and just type format C: ! It will complete ur task !

^you mean win 98 boot disk?

A win98 boot disk wont work, since it cant detect NTFS. You'll have to use a linux live disc, or win2k, or xp or vista disc.
There are floppy images which can format ntfs but you better google search.
