System Restarts When Trying To Install Avast...

I am running Windows XP Pro SP2.. i downloaded Avast Home Edition, latest, from their site... When i click on the installer, the system restarts without any error message etc.
I have just reinstalled the OS, and Avast was the first application i was tying to install after the fresh installation of the OS, but its not installing...
Can anybody have any idea, what is going on??
I am attaching the HijackThis log.. There are three exe processes, which seem suspicious to me. Cant find anything about them in Google too...

try doing this...

go to "my computer" properties

then to advanced tab...then to "start up and recovery" and disable the "automatic restart" checkbox...

instead of avast install kaspersky trial version first to clean ur computer.

I dont know.. I kill them.. they popup again. with random names... And i cant install any antivirus/Spyware remover.. When i try to install them the system restarts...

try to install kaspersky trial version from safe mode,if that didn't help reply back here

u can also try uploading those 3 suspicious files on kaspersky website for an online av scan.

I cant restart. When i choose to restart it searches for some drivers and again throw me back to the OS choosing menu...

Those files are set as hidden.. And enabling viewing of hidden files through folder options dont work either. It again changes back to Dont show hidden files.. What the hell..

From os choosing menu press f8 and go to safe mode,try installing

Yes i do the same.. I choose to boot in safe mode.. it searches for some drivers.. then again to that screen, which says windows wasnt shutdown properly last time blahblah... With options to start windows normally or last known good configuration etc. i hope u understand...

Get a quick Heal bootable emergency CD and do the scan....
the risk is ..it might delete your infected system files if it cannot r4epair it .... :O

Download the trend micro scan engine frm here
http://www.trendmicro.com/ftp/products/tsc/sysclean.com

Then download virus definitions http://www.trendmicro.com/ftp/produc...ern/lpt433.zip

Put both files in same folder and double click sysclean.com and do a full scan.

me think there is some suspicious files in ur system.. below are the files...

firstly delete ur temp files of ur user account...
try ccleaner from http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/
then follow the following..

1. try installing the avast in safemode...
OR
2. create a new user and try installing it from the new user...

be sure ccleaner or any other soft u use to clear traces ,, clears the 3 above mentioned files...
