Thumbs up virtualdub problem

hi friends............

i use virtual dub first time to cut a clip of 100MB from a movie.when i click on "save as avi" it save the clip at size of 1GB . even the whole movie size is 700MB.

i just opened movie---selected the clip---then clicked on save

so is there any configurations and options that i have to change to get actual size.

thanks for any advice
