My computer, My Documents & MY PROBLEMS!!

PC Specs:
Motherboard: ASUS P5GZMX
Hard Disk: 300GB Segate Barracuda
Intel Pentium D 3.0 GHz
RAM: 1GB DDR2 @667

I m having problems on installing or even running a Live CD Linux Distributions() like Ubuntu, red hat......
It shows some errors and the process gets terminated eventually.
Do I need to update my bios? Do I need to change my BIOS Settings or there is a Hardware incompability.

Please Help me.........

OK I'll give it as soon as possible

The error with Ubuntu 8.04 goes like this:

"init: rcs main process(5583) killed by SEGV signal
init: unable to execute "/bin/sh" for
rc-default: No such file or directory
init: rc default main process( 6728 ) terminated with status 255"

Try to Google the problem first. There might be some other people that have this error with solutions.
offtopic: I think you really need to work on the title. There is not need to put useless things like My Computer, My Documents and also don't use capital letters. Good example: Problem installing Ubuntu
