dont install two av it will slow down ur system considerably even if u disables ones real time protection, becoz av's wont completely unload frm memory unless u uinstall it.
But some av's unloads frm memory by turnning off(like kaspersky),both avg and macfee remains in memory

^^ KAV's driver remains in memory, even though you turn it off.

there is really no need to install two antiviruses. there is a high possibility that they conflict internally. If u think installing two antiviruses will double up ur security then u r wrong.

However, coming to ur question, u may switch off AVG by going thru the settings and turning real-time scanning off...

First of all, I don't think the setup for an antivirus would continue once it detects that another antivirus is already installed. Even if you manage to install 2 AVs, it's better not to do so.

^^ Most antivirii do install while another one is loaded, although using more than one antivirus is not recommended since the drivers that they use have a high rate of conflict, and the system slowdown can be clearly seen, due to both antivirii scanning the files being accessed. And twice the bandwidth for updating.
