Smile video display

hi dear friends yesterday i picked up a movie dvd from one of my friend, but when i viewd this movie in my 17"monitor, i got two black margins 1 uppr 1 lwr of about 3" each, which nearly covers half of the display.i can stretch the display from monitor front panel menu option but that is very minimal and going to distort the pic.Is there any other way i can improve this situation and enjoy a geat visual pleasure.eagerly waiting fr ur reply friends.

Default Re: video display

That video seems to be in a widescreen format and you're using a normal monitor. If I remember correctly, in Winamp there is an option to disable forced aspect ratio. Go to Winamp Settings->Video and uncheck the box next to 'Lock video aspect ratio'. The movie should now play full-screen without those bands.
