DVD or CD Burning?

Hi........Everyone

I want to burn a CD or a DVD , am using Windows Vista Business Edition OS and there am having Burn (inbuilt) option , it burns fine but the problem is it takes hell lot of time , I know i can use Nero but just wanted to ask u people why it is taking hell lot of time for only 250 MB.
