Default Outlook express

Hi everyone,
i need some help with outlook express. My dad uses outlook express a lot and somehow, there seems to be 12gb of data for outlook express!!
I've got absolutely no idea how it became so big, especially when there are only about a 1000 messages in the inbox, all text only with a few photos.
Any suggestions on how to get rid of it?
The 12 gb of data is in "C:\Documents and settings\Administrator\Local settings\outlook" folder.

I think you should compact the folders.

The reason being, even if you delete the messages, the folder size remains the same, thus it will show more space.

Yes, compact the folders. Also check out sent items and deleted items.
