Question Slipstreaming SP3 on a Recovery CD

Hi guys, my cousine gave me his laptop ( Vaio ) for reinstalling Xp on it. The laptop came with a recovery CD. I was wondering if its possible to slipstream SP3 on that CD content. or does sony provide updated recovery CD's for a nominal fee?

why use recovery cd's ? they only hard format the contents and return the os as it was on first installation of xp or whatever, use acronis true image, it's much better as all your softwares are also recovered in case of crash

It is indeed possible but really subjective as integrating the SP would mean deletation of many OEM files and system specific hotfix info hence making the recovery media useless

why not making a call to their all india toll free support number and asking for one
