pc slows during boot

hi friends i am new at this forum
my recent problem was that my pc slows down during boot and works fine after 5-10 mins
i dont understand the problem
can any1 help me?

Go to Start - Run and type Msconfig and then go to startup and uncheck the programs which u dont want to run in startup

down load winxp manager www.yamicsoft.com and form there stop all unwanted startup iteams leaving the antivirus and the audio utility.
This should work. Remind you this is a paid software with many many utilities to increase the speed of computer. I use this personally. It has a pagefile defraging utility also which is of great use.

Or for free software
download the cc cleaner. It has only the startup tweaking utility and registry cleaner which is also of great use.which u can get from digit Cd or dvd every month.
you can download pageDefrag form microsoft website also.and can use it in combination with free Contig defragmenter at http://www.sysinternals.com/contig.htm.

1.Remove unused fonts from C:/Windows/fonts
2.Remove Start up sound
3.Remove unwanted startup items
4.Enable boot defrag
5.Disable unwanted services.
