Viewing Gpac subtitles through VLC or media player classic

Guys, I have a bunch of video files which supposedly have subtitles. Vlc media player didn't show the subtitles and when i opened the file in media player classic, the properties were as follows:

Video: MPEG4 Video (H264) 720x480 [GPAC ISO Video Handler]
Subtitle [GPAC Streaming Text Handler]
Subtitle: UTF-8 [GPAC Streaming Text Handler (plain text)]
Audio: AAC 48000Hz stereo 260Kbps [GPAC ISO Audio Handler]

Can someone tell me what i need to do to view those subtitles?

Can someone please help? Its kind of urgent.

Name the subtitls file to same as the video file & then run the movie

say the file name is aa.avi then name the subtitles file to aa.xxx
where aa is the name same as video file & xxx is its subtitle extension

In VLS you may have to check options to enable subtitles
In media player classic you can do so from the task bar icon just near the date
Right click on it & click show subtitles

Don't know antything else than that so I hope this works for you

Subtitles are disabled by default. To enable them, go to the Video menu, and to Subtitles track. All available subtitles tracks will be listed. Select one to get the subtitles. Depending on the media, a description (language, for example) might be available for the track.
