Default Virus threat

Last night a couple of MACROS inside the "Microsoft office 2007" folders were detected as "potentially dangerous objects" by AVG. These files as far as i know came itself when i installed office. Are they really a threat or somthing else? Following are the path of the files detected:-

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\1033\EXPTOOWS.XLA
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\Library\HTML.XLAM
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\SAMPLES\SOLVSAMP.XLS

Default Re: Virus threat

try another antivirus like avast and see if anything is detected. update the virus definitions as well. if they do contain macro viruses, remove or repair them. (using avast.) there have been instances of C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\SAMPLES\SOLVSAMP.XLS getting infected with a macro virus.
