Sony Ericsson PC Suite Hangs Vista

I am running Sony Ericsson PC Suite 2.10.46 on windows vista. I use the phone to connect to the internet. However everytime i remove (pluck it out) the data cable the PC suite still shows the phone connected. When i reconnect the phone and try to connect - it detects the phone modem not connected. Only way is to restart the computer - which when i try to do , the OS hangs and i need to turn it off manually using the power switch. I am running this on a laptop , comapq f733AU. I will try to install Vista Sp1 , do you think it would help ?

Do you exit pcsuite before disconnecting the phone?

first solution - uninstall/reinstall the pc suite
second solution - get the USB drivers for your phone model from sony's site, and install them. I know they are provided with PC suite, but these ones are alternate.

no i dont exit PC suite , but i tried it - didnt work.
dheeraj - let me try to get the drivers. reinstallation , tired it.

Edit : cant find the USB drivers for the phone , can you please provide the link ?

It is required that you first exit pc suite and then remove the phone for best results.
