Help comp gone crazy......!
Dear friends
Help required again from your genius Brains
My lappy comp is suffering from the following problems:-- Whenever I start adobe acrobat it shows the application error. This error happens with several other programs like when I install vtp 8 and etc….
- Another problem is whenever I try to open a link in ie6 it doesn’t open .
- Last one is related to games whenever I run fifa 08 it runs at a very fast speed while playing the game (everything except in the menu )
NOTE: - I know it should have been posted in gamers segment but due to very very very slow speed it’s something next to impossible

Re: Help comp gone crazy......!
your comp is infected by virus. I have no solutions, infact i've been trying to figure if viruses can be cured at all, except for reinstalling windows

Re: Help comp gone crazy......!
try scanning your comp with an av or antispyware. if this doesn't work then try repairing your windows.

Re: Help comp gone crazy......!
Your system is not infected by virus. your solutions are:
1. two solutins for acrobat:
1. temporary: use acrobat setup and run it. now choose repaire option.
2. parmanent: uninstall acrobat and install it again. choose custom install and now choose full installation or check all checkboxes.
note: you will face this problem because your installation type was minimum. in the minimum install only necessary files to run the acrobat will be installed. unfortunatly if any file miss or currupt, you will face this error many times.
2. for opening page in ie you need to configure it. if you are using proxy, set your ip address and port in ie setting. if problem persist write your error in detail. i will try to solve it.
3. check for other games. also write it clearly.

i agree with u totally bro..and full bakwas if virus it would rather stop functioning...like would give error or close application automatically without any msg............i think ur acrobat is old or some files maybe missing or deleted accidently...reinstall it....and try it...or i suggesst downlooad the lastest version of ACROBAT.....really good one!!
u can get it from the adobe professional site...good luck ahead!!

yes they can be healed what anti virus are u using....can u post...or i suggest u try using NOD32 is really good..cause if once u are affected with virus and if it has hit ur system...then just simple restarts and it will auto repair ur system and virus free again...umm work almost like DEEP FREEZE..however i think it has some defects too...coz sometimes at the same time..people might make their new folder and once u are caught by virus and u restart...and then BOOM....all are gone that u saved!! hehhehehe so for this reason i think kaspersky and good as it deals with most of the viruses...and AVG isnt bad either coz it can detect SPYWARE too in ur computer!!
good luck!!

Re: Help comp gone crazy......!
actually, it is kinda a new virus. do a system restor to the previous day when you saw the problem. don't open any apps, just update your ativirus, and do a full system scan... it will be solved. Damn sure. about the fifa, you can change game speed by using an option in the game settings menu in my fifa (game speed = slow, normal, fast.
Ultimately, try increasing your resolution...

Re: Help comp gone crazy......!
The application error does not show up only with acrobat but also with several other programmes as well. The game problem occurs with all ea games like fifa and undying.
Note: My computer is highly protected from viruses; therefore no virus problems.
Thanks.

In my computer there is a virus named vundoo (I suppose, got that from google), random DLL files appear in system32 folder and they run through rundll32.exe. this process is shown in the task manager. teatimer shows that random files keep trying to add themselves to startup. Whenever this rundll32.exe starts the computer becomes very slow. None among avast, nod32, spyware terminator, spybot snd have been able to fix it. that is why i wrote that i think viruses cannot be repaired.

Re: Help comp gone crazy......!
Rundll32.exe is pretty harmless, its just a component of windows, but its name, and its functionality are used by some malware. If rundll32.dll is asked to run a malicious dll, it would do so, and the antivirus would not detect the dll, but the host program(rundll32) thats why you get the alerts.

Re: Help comp gone crazy......!
1. Try reinstalling the programs which cause error.
2. NOD32, Spybot, Ad-Aware, HijackThis
3. Post the log here.
4. Run "sfc /scannow"
5. CCleaner - scan registry
6. Clean install windows.
