Nero Max Writing Speed

I use Nero 8 to write CDs/DVDs using my HP DV6000 Laptop's DVD writer.

Most of the times, Nero writes the CDs/DVDs at half the max speed inscribed on the media.

any way to fix it ?

Go to preferences and tweak some options. google it. it can write CDs at max 48x i think

Dont use startsmart and express. go with Burning ROM, and in the burn settings you can change the speed. I experienced it with DVDs too... it writes in 6x for 8x dvds..

I never faced such an issue with Nero.
it shows all possible speeds which depend on how Fast my Drive can write and how fast the DVD-R can be written.

^^ Thats when you use the Burning Rom. In the latest nero 8, it somehow chooses an optimal speed to write, rather than the maximum speed. This is only in StartSmart.

Nahi yaar, I use Nero Express..No start smart..no Burning rom..and I can change the speed manually,,,dnt mind bt did u check the options that are available on left hand panel of nero express..there are variety of them including the mode which u want to write in and speeds...
