Default HP Laptop. Display Brightness Problem.

Hi Friends,

I have HP DV6767 Laptop with Windows Vista Home Premium. Like all HP laptops i can increase and decrease the display brightness by using Fn+F7 and Fn+F8 keys.

But sometimes after waking the computer from Hibernate. The change display brightness keys doesn't work.

Also if i open the Windows Mobility Centre (Windows Key + X). The Display Brightness box doesn't appear.

Please help.

Thanks.

Lap must be under warranty,..contact hp guys if you have serious problem. I recommend not tamper your OS if it is under warranty.

na. its not that serious problem. only happens after the pc wakes from hibernate. that too sometimes.

i also found a quick workaround close the laptop lid, open again, the display keys and controls work again

Same problem here:
- sometimes, display is at full brightness after a reboot
- sometimes, the brightness keys (Fn-F9/10) stop working
