Half of the sites don't work

I was trying to do some network troubleshooting with a problem related to hamachi.. and i put in the following in my command line:

route -f

After that.. many sites just don't open. In firefox, the message is displayed 'The connection was reset The connection to the server was reset'. Why is it happening? When i ran the route -f command for the first time, no site was opening at all. I rebooted my modem and it was fine.. but a few sites just don't open at times. They however, load if i reconnect my net connection then those sites do show.. but then some other sites fail.

Common sites which fail: http://google.com, http://physicsforums.com, http://bash.org/. Some sites always up: http://digg.com, http://del.icio.us
