Default Plz Help me with .avi file burning

Can anyone please tell me how to burn a downloaded .avi file onto a DVD or onto a CD in detail retaining the original quality and the best software for burning. Is it possible to burn the file onto CD or DVD as we make data CD or DVD?

just copy the avi file onto the CD(Most players would play it that way)
The quality depends on the quality of the video downloaded nothing can change that
You can make a CD/DVD depending on the size

Yes... You can burn that .avi file on DVD or CD using softwares like nero, Ashampoo and cd burner XP without loosing the quality. What u need to do is just open the program and select "burn data CD/DVD". Do u want to play this on DVD player?

Burning a file using nero will not decrease the quality.. What do u exactly want to do? Do u want to convert it before burning?

AFAIK there's no good software than the nero as i mentioned earlier to burn your .avi file. I don't know why you are upset with it...
