Default free alternative to nero?

hi,
although nero lite 8 and nero micro 8 editions are good enough, they are not free.. i wasn looking for some burner which can burn data dvd's too. something free and good.. are there any?

the reviews on download.com say that cdburnerxp is full of malware.. i will try the others mentioned..thanks guys...
