Default Cant install nvidia forceware

Guys, another probldm here.

When i try to install nvidia forceware drivers (174.74_geforce_winxp_32bit_english_whql) from DIGIT DVD MAY 2008, i got an error msg - "The NVIDIA Setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware. Setup will now exit"

Windows XP Pro 32bit with Service Pack 2, AMD Athlo64 X2 4800+, nVIDIA 7600 GT, 2 X 1GB DD72 RAM @ 667 Mhz

Even when i do a fresh installation of windows, problem is same.


Current driver is 6.14.10. 9371 (ForceWare 93.71)

Pliz help

The version that u r trying to install is for vista and not for xp. You can clearly see that over here -> http://www.filehippo.com/download_nv...rceware_vista/

So get the latest forceware driver for xp from here -> http://www.filehippo.com/download_nvidia_forceware/

So that means DIGIT renamed the forceware of vista to winxp, rite??

pushkaraj : have you got DIGIT MAY 2008 DVD?
There are 4 nvidia forceware. Vista 32, vista 64, winxp 32 and winxp 64. Which one is for xp?

Evrybody knows winxp is for win xp. And when i try to install i got error msg said above

You are trying to install drivers for nVidias 9 series cards. Your card is 7600 GT. this means 7 series. You can not install 9series card drivers on 7 series card drivers. DIGIT always provides drivers for latest series of nvidea and ATI card.
Download your driver from here after selecting your card series and os.

i thought nvidia ll still stick to their unified driver on XP, atleast.

i think now only WHQl ones are unified. there are exclusive drivers for 9 series maybe.
