Do I need to install Antivirus software in VMware?

Hi

Running vmware as a curiosity ( host os xpsp2 and guest os win2k ) and read few articles about it over google.Some articles claimed virtualisation itself a security and others mentioned need of antivirus.should i install AV for win2k?

Virtual Machines are vulnerable just like their physical counterparts.Have you installed Windows 2000 Service Pack 4 ? If not please install it as well as a good antivirus software.

Installing SP4 will make the Windows 2000 more compatible with other software and will also fix some bugs.
