Unhappy Bitlord I/O stop

Hi there.

I have a MTNL broadband connection, plan TriB 749NU (Night Unlimited) with 2 MBPS speed.
I use Windows XP Pro SP3 as my primary OS.

I use Bitlord v1.1 for downloading torrents.
I've been using it for past one year without any problems.

But since past week, it's been giving me problems.
The problem is, about 15-20 minutes after I run Bitlord, it loses connection with the net.
I mean, there is no incoming-outgoing transfer after 15-20 minutes.
When I stop all the torrents & then restart them, then too there is no transfer.

But when I close Bitlord & run it again, then it resumes transfers.
But then after 15-20 minutes, the same problem occurs.

I use Zonealarm Pro firewall & have given Bitlord proper rights. I've been using it for past 6-7 years without any problem. I haven't had any problem with Bitlord due to Zonealarm Pro.

I've tried uninstalling & then reinstalling Bitlord but with no positive results.
I've also done a clean installation of Windows XP Pro SP3 but with no results.

I can't use other Bitorrent clients as they all suffer with TCP-IP restrictions/Port forwarding problems unlike Bitlord.

Please help me.

You can utorrent, thats a lot better than bitlord, and it doesnt suffer from any restrictions or port forwarding problems.

Have already tried uTorrent. Didn't work for me. I don't know about TCP-IP restrictions, but it does suffer with port forwarding problem, well in my case it does.
Anyway, TCP-IP restrictions/Port forwarding are not my main problems.
Bitlord works for me just fine regarding the above 2 issues.

My main problem now is sudden breaking of transmission between Bitlord & internet after 15-20 minutes.

Could the SP3 for Windows XP be creating any problem?

Well, I dont know how to solve your problem, but port forwarding is a problem with the network, not with the torrent client. If you need not port forward in bitlord, you need not in utorrent and any other client.

Ok, I was wrong. It is working for me. I don't know how but it is now. Thanks for the tip.
I'll have to monitor whether it suffers from the same disconnection/freezing problem as Bitlord. If it does, then the problem is with router, ISP or SP3 for Windows XP. If it doesn't, then the problem is with Bitlord.

Wow, didn't expect this question at this point of time!!!
BTW, I do think Bitlord is incompatible with Windows XP SP3 because uTorrent worked fine while Bitlord freezed.

Ouch... didnt read your post .. anyway Bitcomet and Zonealarm can conflict with each other, and I dont know about bitlord. But when I used bitcomet, the problem surfaced only after several months of using.

uTorrent isn't giving me any speed with any of the torrents.
Even aXXo torrents (if u know him/her) weren't giving any speed while previously Bitlord, and now Bitcomet are giving speeds they're supposed to.

^^ well, configuring your client is very important in utorrent, and you need to spend some time doing it. But if you do it, you can be guarenteed good speeds. Check out the guides at utorrent.com for more details.
