Opera 9.50 beta + Hotmail

Hi Guys,

After having hell lot of problems with FF I recently switched over to Opera my all time fav browser.

But the pain has started again, I am not able to use Hotmail.

I am able to open the mail page and able to login.

After the login the status bar shows as follows..

Document 100%
Element 29/29
Completed request to bs.serving-sys.com and stops..

I am not able to click on the links or scroll.

It just freezes, if I refresh, the page loads and the connection stops in the same website.

I tried wit IE8 and Hotmail works fine.

At first, Hotmail was working fine, dont know what caused this.

Also I have tried both the full and classic version of Hotmail. Same result.

Is this a known bug or wat???

Help needed at once.

Try to use Opera 9.27 (Stable version).

Try to delete Opera config folders. But all your settings will also vanish.

C:/Documents and Settings/USERNAME/Application Data/Opera/Opera 9.5 beta

There might be one more Opera settings directory in your "C:/Documents and Settings/USERNAME/" folder. Try to find and delete that also.

This might solve your problem.

Swithching to a stable version is not degrading. in case you don't know, opera 9.5 is in beta version and beta versions are known to have issues like these.
If you still don't like it, then you may use opera 9.27 just for hotmail & 9.5 for everything else.

LOL its not degrading, its downgrading TOTALLY different meanings!

If theres a problem with the beta version, post it on opera forums.

LOL thnx for all the info, meaning of degrading and downgrading..meaning of stable and beta release.

Always a solution is better than nothing. This is the reason I asked for a solution from you techie guys. U understood that I am a noob. No issues. Thnx for your concern over my problem.

Nope, same thing happened.

Since I assume there are no solutions, I am downgrading as per dheeraj_kumar and going for a stable version instead of the beta version as per Cool Buddy.
