How to find the sound driver?

My cousin has got IBM thinkpad laptop...Since he had full of virus in it...I formatted his com....Now i dunno how to find the sound driver and graphics drivers for the laptop?..please any suggestions?

I dunno which model it is...is der anyway to find out?...As far as i know it is pentium 3 old 700mhz..

Firstly, one of the best question would be happy to answer

You can use the tool Everest Corporate Edition It will show you all the hard-ware parts mfg details of your laptop, so that you can accordingly visit the mfg web page & d/l the drivers.

The above tool is a must for all Hardware Driver problem where we don't know the make or model or mfg. + In some cases in Laptops even if XP detects the driver the hardware doest not seems to work properly so in that case we can know exactly what part or mfg is & accordingly d/l the drivers.

A must have tool for all of you!

see for every thinkpad, there will be a product ID sticked to the bottom.

For eg, my T43 has 2668-ce3

based on that you get the driver.

one more way is to connect the laptop to internet, install Lenovo system updater and run it. It will search and grab all the latest drivers required.
