Default Disk Management in Vista: Help


one day suddenly i lost a partition from my compuetr in vista but as i hav Xp also i can find it in Xp...

When i go to disk management i found that partition but when i click on make partition as active foll msg appears:

Well let me tell you one thing first, making a partition active means selecting the partition for booting i.e. system will try to find boot files on that partition and will boot. So making a partition active that does not have Windows Vista installed is not a good idea as it will lead to a halt at the booting procedure.

In ur case, the problem is somewhat different. It may be caused by some program u installed recently that might make the drive hidden.
