Default Unable to install Win Xp on Hp Pavillion


Dear friends pls help me

I have an Hp pavillion dv2700 notebook with Vista pre loaded, but I want to load Win Xp but while installation it shows an error that your bios is not ACPI Compactable. although I have turn off this error by pressing F7, but now it shows that setup cannot find any HDD

Laptop Configuration
Core2duo 2.2 Ghz
1GB Ram
160 HDD Sata

download sata drivers for your notebook and slipstream it into the win xp disk using nlite. It will work

xp installs fine bro.the tough thing is to find the right drivers.happy searching.

security lock which u need to remove from BIOS settings but its so risky, one wrong setting and ur laptop will become a box . . .

Go to BIOS and find native SATA mode and enable it and then install XP. It will work fine

i disabled my sata thru BIOS.. n then installed XP..

lapi runs fyn.. but i dunno abt the drawbacks of disabling SATA

my lapi is HP Pavilion dv9339us

I have searched BIOS for SATA disable/enable but I can't find any option my laptop is hp dv2700, BISO Version F.24
