Try reinstalling windows, your system might be corrupted
Is it Vista or XP?
Also how much disk space do you have?

had it been a ram problem
you would have recieved a BOD with message
"begining the dump of physical memory"

fresh copy of xp
was it modified.....?

check for you registry..
or get the dll files replaced ( the ones which are creating problems...find tehm on net)

i got BSOD saying that
bad_pool_header.
so i again install new copy of xp and try to install drivers. Now mobo cd says that this is not a intel mobo so driver can't be install.
cd can't able to recognise mobo?
so i installed drivers from device manager & updating drivers.while installing video driver pc didnt accept it and rebooted.after some hassle it get installed.
Now condn is like this,
fresh copy of xp with all drivers installed.
still prob. is same .
NO big games(2gb)/prog. able to run.it always gives errors like some files missing or this problem needs to close.

You say you did a fresh install, you mean you did a clean install? wherein you formatted the entire windows partition and installed it?

even then if it did not work, then it might be a RAM problem. I dont think HDD has anything to do with it. Maybe your ram is faulty so data gets corrupted in ram and errors occur in windows. Run Memtest five times to get the average results.
